Dr Rafael Gomez has over 10 years experience in design spanning industry and academia. He has a PhD in design with an focus on design emotion and experience design. He has published in books and has presented extensively at international design conferences and various universities and institutions around the world. He also has extensive industry experience as a designer having worked across various industries including aviation, construction, medical, government and consumer electronics. He is founder and director of Propaganda Mill – a multidisciplinary design company spanning the areas of industrial design, graphic design, projection graphics and augmented reality. He is also founder of Design Emotion Collaborative (DEEM), a member of the Design Institute of Australia and Industrial Design network Queensland. Rafael is a lecturer at Queensland University of Technology in the School of Design, is a research coordinator for the People and Systems Lab and leads teaching programs in Design, Digital Design Communication and Visualisation, and Human-Centred Design.
